    Kid Pan Alley

Kid Pan Alley is back.  Kid Pan Alley is a music program where the students work in conjunction with musicians to learn to write songs.  The 4th at Pocahontas has done this for the past few years with wonderful results.  The students write the songs, learn the songs and perform them with the musicians.  CDs of the songs are made available for purchase at the performances.  This year, through the efforts of Mr. Joshua Wright, our music teacher,  a grant has been secured to offer the program to all three Powhatan elementary schools.  Our 4th-graders will begin songwriting March 13 -14.  The joint performances will be at Powhatan High School on Wednesday, March 27 at 6:30 pm.
